At the Crossrods of my mind

I've got to say it has been quite some while since I wrote in english, can't confess it to be my favorite way to express myself although my thoughts are seldom spanish....however the feelings that where aroused seem to be better manifested through the practicality of English, far be it from me to lecturing any of you, so let's get to the point, to my spanish only speaking blog-followers...sorry guys, read the next post.

The mind is a powerful thing, or so some people say, but I would doubt anybody actually takes some time to dwell in the depth of this statement. It controls in ways we've allowed it through the years and it very well is the map to our behaviour on a daily basis, reactions based on situations that our mind has "learned to deal with"

Now what is a person to do when they find themselves swimming in their thoughts, exploring the caverns of uncollected ideas and misguided feelings that are sheltered within the belly of this beast....and they are unclear of what path to go towards? The Crossroads metaphor is so weak as it aludes to an impossible reality where there are only 2 or 3 or 4 choices ahead, when in fact the number of choices is as vast as the number of thoughts you can have in any given moment...as they say the journey from you mind to your hands is shorter than your thinking.

Each choice must be weighed carefully and outcomes calculated, scenarios planned out...now you could do that all your life and find you are in a comma-like state of paralisis where you have los the will to act upon your impulses for fear of failing or making the wrong choice....this is a waste....

There are no wrong choices, there are inconvenient ones, there are ones that affect many people, there are ones that profit one person or another, but to be so arrogant as to apply some sort of moral compass to the choices we make is an excersice i'm not interested in making....what you must realize is that good or bad, wrong or rigth...in the end...they're yours....and nobody can take them from you, make them for you, or live them through you....you can dance around the subject all you want but the smarter approach is to embrace the power of such actions and reality, take ownership of the decisiones we make...and live life, like there are no re-runs....because really and truly, there aren't you only get one chance at doing this, right or wrong, you need to get off your behind and make things happen.

So the next time you findyourself in a mental crossroads you can do what I do....Do whatever feels right.....time will change and so will people.....but your feelings will linger on in your soul...and if you can't sum up the nerve to do that....flip a coin....it makes about as much sense as what I just mentioned....Peace
